HOW LONG ARE YOUR SESSIONS?

Eight hours.  Usually 10AM to 6PM.  We can be flexible on start and end times if need be, but you must ask ahead of time.

CAN WE GO LONGER THAN EIGHT HOURS?

Maybe.  You need to ask in advance.

DO YOU DO HALF DAY SESSIONS OR RENT BY THE HOUR?

No.  You can come in and use only half a day, or just a couple hours if you want, but you will be charged for the full day.  It's literally the cheapest studio rate in the entire world.

WHAT'S THE SOONEST I CAN GET IN?

Hard to say.  Depends on the week, depends on what you're trying to accomplish.  Reach out and we'll see what we can do for you.

CAN WE USE THE DRUMS? CAN WE USE THE GUITARS?

Yes.  Yes.  The instruments are included in the rental fee.

WHAT'S your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

50% deposit is required at the time of booking.  Deposits are non-refundable.  If you cancel altogether, we keep your deposit.  If you need to reschedule, there's no fee.  However, if you are constantly rescheduling, this is not the studio for you.  I pride myself on being very flexible and one guy ruined the blanket rescheduling policy for everyone.  So its more nuanced now.  If you constantly reschedule, I'm just not going to give you studio time.

WHAT if I or someone in my band is sick the day of recording?

Please reschedule.  There is no fee to reschedule.  If you show up sick, you won't be allowed in and you will forfeit your deposit.  If I get sick, the studio shuts down completely and more artists lose their studio time, so it is in everyone's best interest to stay home if sick.

DO YOU HAVE AN IN-HOUSE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?

Yes.  My name is Andrew.

 

CAN I WORK OFF MY OWN LAPTOP?

Most likely.  Get in touch ahead of time and we can talk specs to make sure it will run smoothly.

I'M LOOKING FOR A PRODUCER.  CAN YOU RECOMMEND SOMEONE?

Definitely.  If you can give us an idea of what you sound like, or send some demos (even if they're really poor quality), we can suggest the right person.  We can't guarantee they will work with you, however.

I NEED A SESSION PLAYER! CAN YOU RECOMMEND ANYONE?

Of course!  We know lots.  We'll recommend the right musician for your genre and budget.

THIS IS MY FIRST TIME RECORDING.  IS THERE ANYTHING I NEED TO KNOW?

Sure.  Recording is fun.  Don't stress.  Practice your parts.  Ask questions if you're unsure of anything.

We truly, genuinely believe that music (and professional recording) should be accessible to everyone.
